Job Description

ROLE PURPOSE:

The position is for a 5 years SIDA appropriation Grant that focuses on strengthening the Organizational capacity of partner organizations working on Child Protection and Child Rights Governance.

As a Coordinator Behavior Change and Reporting, She/he will responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring a robust communication strategy along with the plan for the project , implementation of internal and external communications of the initiatives of the Sida-CSO appropriate grant, capacity building of project implementation team at both Save the Children and partner organizations, maintaining positive media relations as per SCI standards and the organizations media policy, developing communication material both print and electronic on projects achievements and results, responsible for progress reports and project documentations

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY :

Communications

Develop and roll out communications Strategy and plans for the Project in close collaboration with partner organizations

Lead the process of developing and promoting internal and external communications to support sharing of project objectives, organisational learning and ensuring visibility.

Prepare communication material both print and electronic on project results including editing, proof reading and compiling project reports (case studies, success stories, newsletter, factsheet researches, lessons learnt documents etc) for publication

Liaison with Procurement Team for procurement of goods and services required for production of communication material.

Ensure partner organizations are well skilled and adhere to SC communication policies

Ensure that projects communication materials are well shared and covered in SCI global communication platforms

Documentation:

Ensure quality periodic documentation of projects results and milestones.

Organise and take minutes of project progress and reviews meeting. Follow up on action points and update team on the status.

Make project presentations in collobration with partners / team.

Develop and manage database / catalogue of projects key documents ( final and approved) including concept notes, proposals, narrative reports, budgets etc submitted by partner organizations and Save the Children work plans.

Document and follow up on the process and agreements of quarterly review and planning workshops with the partner organizations

Reporting

Responsible to develop partners / SC progress reports and assist Project team in finalization of reports.

Capacity building of partner staff in report writing.

Conducing Result Harvesting Workshop with MEAL every quarter with partner organization and support partner organizations to develop quarterly, bi-annual and Annual reports based on discussions in result harvesting workshop

Consolidate and produce final progress report for the project (Partners / SCI)

QUALIFICATIONS

Gruduation degree in social sciences preferably in Mass Communications or revlevant degree.

Proficient in Ms Word, MS Powerpoint and other creative applications

A high level of creative ability including competence in creative computer applications designing etc.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

Essential:

Minimum of 4 years experience in communications, publicity, documentations and media work.

Excellent communication skills; written and oral; able to write a high quality project progress reports.

Capable of taking initiatives and ability to work with minimal supervision and according to demanding timeframes

Commitment to work with and for children; ability to work effectively with young children and proactively involve children in media and communications initiatives i.e. childrens press conferences

Proactive, persuasive, and ability to work under stress

Desireable

Good understanding of development issues

Additional job responsibilities

Media Relations

Support the project team in correspondence with the media networks; including leading and supporting in developing key messages for media.

Organise press briefings, if and where required.

Maintain a record of media coverage and frequently share it with SCs Pakistan team

Capacity building

Develop and implement a capacity development plan for the partner organization to strengthen their in house capacity on communication, documentation and reporting Project
